The free AI visibility audit
The free AI visibility audit takes a domain and returns your presence across 6 AI surfaces, 3 competitors measured on identical prompts, and the named sources behind every citation.
Most free audits in this industry are a tool export with a logo on the cover, produced to justify a sales call. This one is 100 prompts run three times across 6 AI surfaces, plus a technical index-coverage check, and the raw data comes with it.
You can act on it yourself, hand it to another agency, or ignore it.
What do you get in a free AI visibility audit?
What the free AI visibility audit gives you
- /Your visibility across 6 AI surfaces — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode — reported separately rather than averaged into one number.
- /3 competitors you name, measured on the identical prompt set, so the comparison is like for like rather than each brand judged on questions that flatter it.
- /Retrieval, citation and share reported as three figures, because a single percentage hides whether the model even went looking.
- /Source tracing: where a model cited, we log the URL. That turns a score into an instruction.
- /An index coverage check by section — the gap between pages you have published and pages Google is actually holding.
- /Prompt-level raw data, exported. Not a summary of it.
How it is run
Prompt set from your terms
Built from the commercial keywords that already earn your deposits, rewritten as the questions a person types into a chatbot. Not a generic industry list reused between clients.
Three runs per prompt
Model output is not deterministic. One run is anecdote. Three runs across 6 AI surfaces is 1,800 observations for a single market, which is enough to separate a real reading from variance.
Clean sessions, pinned location
Fresh unauthenticated sessions with no memory, pinned to the market being measured. Our numbers come out colder than an in-house test from somebody's own logged-in account, and closer to what a new player sees.
Read by a person
Robert reads the output and writes the summary, including which finding he thinks matters most and which one you can safely ignore.
Why it is free, plainly
Because we cannot show you a client traffic curve. Gambling clients sign NDAs, and the published growth figures on agency sites almost never name the client, the market, the starting position or the period, which makes them unfalsifiable and close to worthless as evidence.
So the audit is the proof. It costs us roughly 1,800 API calls and a couple of hours of reading, and it demonstrates the method on your own domain instead of asking you to trust a screenshot of somebody else's.
It is a harder offer to make than a growth chart. It is also the only kind of proof worth anything in a vertical where nobody can verify anybody's claims.
What the report actually contains
The index
Your share of answers naming the brand, per surface, per market, against the 3 competitors on the same prompts. Plus the retrieval and citation rates underneath it.
The gaps
Prompts where competitors appear and you do not, with the specific source the model drew on. Usually a third-party page and not anything on your own site.
The technical read
Index coverage by section, the templates failing Core Web Vitals, and any hreflang cluster errors found on the way through.
The written summary
What we would do first, what we would leave alone, and an honest read on whether you need an agency at all.
What happens after
You get the report and a short note on what we would do. If you want to run it in-house or give it to another agency, that is a fine outcome and nothing is held back. If your visibility is already strong, we will say so and you will not hear from us again unless you get in touch.
There is no automated sequence afterwards. One follow-up email, then silence unless you reply. We are not going to spend the next quarter reminding you about a report you already have.
Who this is genuinely useful for
- /Affiliates who have watched traffic fall since early 2025 and cannot tell how much of it went to summaries, not to competitors.
- /Operators entering a new market who want to know who the models currently recommend there before committing a budget.
- /B2B suppliers who suspect operators are shortlisting vendors inside ChatGPT and want to see whether they appear.
- /In-house teams who need an outside reading to support or kill an internal argument, and would rather it came with the raw data attached.
- /Anyone currently being sold AI visibility work by someone who will not explain how they measure it.
What it costs us, since people ask why it is free
100 prompts, three runs, 6 AI surfaces is 1,800 API calls for a single market, plus the technical crawl and a couple of hours of reading. It is not free to produce. It is cheaper than the alternative, which would be asking you to believe a growth chart you cannot check.
It also caps how many we can run at once. If we are backed up we will say so and give you a date and not quietly taking three weeks over a 48 hours promise.
What it will not tell you
- /An AI ranking. No fixed position exists, and answers vary between identical runs. We report share and trend, not a rank.
- /A traffic forecast. AI referral volume is still small in absolute terms and we are not going to model revenue from a visibility number.
- /Everything about your site. It is one market and a targeted technical pass, not a full audit of a ten-thousand-URL platform.
- /What your competitors are paying, spending or planning. We measure what the models say and not what the market is doing behind it.
One practical note on scope. The audit covers one market because a second market doubles the API cost and rarely changes the conclusion — the pattern that shows up in Ontario usually shows up in Germany too, and the fix is the same. If you genuinely need several markets compared before deciding anything, say so and we will tell you whether it is worth paying for.
One market per domain, once. If you want additional markets or ongoing tracking, that is the AI Visibility Index as a subscription, or it comes inside a retainer from the Growth tier upward.
A note on what happens if you decide not to continue, since that is a real outcome and worth being explicit about. You keep the report, the raw prompt-level export and the technical findings. Nothing is watermarked, nothing expires, and there is no clause anywhere saying you cannot hand it to another agency. We would rather you acted on it with somebody else than sat on it because using it felt awkward.
A word on scheduling, since it is the constraint people hit. 100 prompts across 6 AI surfaces run three times is 1,800 API calls per market, plus a technical crawl and a couple of hours of reading by one person. That caps how many audits run in a week. If we are backed up we will tell you the date instead of quietly missing a 48 hours promise, and if the queue is long enough to be unhelpful we will say that too.
A closing note on why this is the only proof we offer. Most agency sites in this industry open with a growth figure — a percentage, a traffic curve, a client logo — and almost none name the client, the market, the starting position or the time period. That makes the number unfalsifiable and therefore close to worthless as evidence. Gambling clients sign NDAs, and the ones who do not are usually the smallest, so we are not going to publish a curve you cannot check. Showing the method on your own domain is harder to offer and considerably more useful to receive.
What this audit will not tell you
It will not give you an AI ranking, because no fixed position exists. It will not forecast traffic, because AI referral volume is still small in absolute terms and modelling revenue from a visibility number would be guesswork. It covers one market and a targeted technical pass instead of a full audit of a ten-thousand-URL platform. And it tells you nothing about what competitors are spending or planning.
A last practical note on turnaround. 48 hours is a working commitment, never an automated one: the prompts run overnight, the crawl runs alongside them, and then a person reads the output and writes the summary. That final step is the reason it is 48 hours and not four, and it is also the reason the report says which finding matters most instead of listing everything it found at equal weight.
The audit runs the method described on the methodology page, unchanged. The report ships with the prompt set attached so you can check the work against what is published there.
