iGaming SEO for operators, affiliates and suppliers

iGaming SEO for operators is not the same job as it is for an affiliate, and neither resembles what a B2B supplier needs. Six segments, and what changes between them.

The figures on each page are the first thing we check on any audit, because they set what good looks like. An operator measuring first-time depositors and an affiliate measuring revenue share are not running the same problem, even when they are competing for the same keyword.

The six segments

Why iGaming SEO for operators differs from the rest

AI Gambling Marketing is an How the programme fits together agency serving six distinct segments — casino operators, sportsbooks, affiliates, B2B suppliers, crypto brands and land-based venues — each with different economics and a different exposure to AI search.

Which iGaming segment has AI search hurt most?

Six iGaming segments with genuinely different economics: casino operators at roughly $170 per first-time depositor, sportsbooks 20% to 30% that, affiliates where 71% of monitored sites lost rankings in March 2026, and B2B suppliers selling to 500 to 800 operators worldwide.

  • /Casino operators — around $170 per first-time depositor, paid channels mostly closed.
  • /Sportsbooks — CPA 20% to 30% below casino, demand arriving on a fixture calendar.
  • /Affiliates — 71% of monitored sites lost rankings in the March 2026 update.
  • /B2B suppliers — a concentrated pool of 500 to 800 operators worldwide.
  • /Crypto and land-based — two YMYL verticals stacked, and the one segment where maps decide.

Why we split iGaming segments at all

Because the same tactic produces different results depending on who is running it. Pruning thin pages is the highest-return move on most affiliate sites and close to irrelevant on a supplier site with forty URLs. Native-language content is decisive for an operator entering Brazil and marginal for a platform provider selling in English to a global buyer list.

Agencies that flatten this into one iGaming service end up applying an operator playbook to an affiliate, or a B2C playbook to a B2B vendor. It looks reasonable in a proposal and produces very little.

How exposed each segment is to AI search

Affiliates most, because comparison content is exactly what a summary reproduces well. Operators next, mainly on informational queries — brand and transactional searches have held up considerably better. B2B suppliers are affected differently again: their buyers are actively using ChatGPT and Gemini to build vendor shortlists, which is an opportunity, not a loss.

Land-based venues are barely touched so far, because a summary is a poor substitute for a map, a set of opening hours and forty recent reviews.

Whichever segment describes you, the starting point is the same. The free audit measures one market across 6 AI surfaces against 3 competitors you name, and it is adapted to the segment and not run from one template. Pricing sits on the pricing page and the licence checks on the compliance page.

Across all six segments the surfaces are the same — Google, AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot — and so is the E-E-A-T bar Google applies to Your Money or Your Life topics. What differs is which regulator applies, from UKGC to SPA to PAGCOR, and what the buyer is actually deciding.

Who we are not the right fit for

Unlicensed operators, anyone targeting prohibited markets, and businesses whose plan is publishing volume. If the brief is two hundred more comparison pages this quarter, we are the wrong agency and the money would do more almost anywhere else. We would rather say that on a first call than three months into a retainer.

Sources for the segment figures here: cost per depositor and CPA differentials are Track360, July 2026; the March 2026 affiliate ranking losses are ICODA; the operator pool size is VirtuWise; and the named-author findings are RedClaw. Each is linked so you can check it instead of take it from us.

Verticals we cover without a dedicated page

Six segments have their own page because they behave differently enough to need one. Several others we work in do not, and it is more honest to say so than to publish a thin page per vertical to look comprehensive.

  • /Poker — operator and affiliate side. Strategy content sits close to YMYL and needs the same named-author treatment as casino reviews.
  • /Bingo — heavily UK-weighted, with a distinct and older demographic that changes both the content register and the device mix.
  • /Lottery and instant win — a separate regulatory footing in most markets, which means the compliance content cannot be shared with casino pages.
  • /Esports betting — fixture logic resembles sportsbook, while the audience overlaps heavily with crypto.
  • /Virtual sports — meaningful volume in markets like Nigeria, running continuously, never around a calendar, and almost entirely unserved by quality content.
  • /Social and sweepstakes casino — a different model with US-specific scrutiny, so content written for real-money casino creates problems if reused.

If your business is primarily one of these, the work is the same shape as the nearest segment page and we will say which one applies before quoting. What we will not do is publish a page claiming deep experience in a vertical where we have shallow experience.

Questions

We are more than one of these. Which page applies?
Most established groups are. An operator running its own affiliate arm sits across two, and a supplier with a B2C brand sits across three. Read the one that describes where the revenue actually comes from, and we will handle the rest in the audit.
Do you work with operators and affiliates at the same time?
Sometimes, and any conflict is disclosed before the work starts, never afterwards. Nothing crosses between clients chasing the same terms in the same market. Where the overlap is direct, an affiliate and an operator fighting over the same head terms in one country, we turn the second engagement down. Keeping the client list short is partly what makes that refusal affordable.
Which of these segments has AI search hurt most?
Affiliates, by a wide margin. Comparison content is exactly the shape a summary reproduces best, so the questions that carried affiliate revenue for a decade now get answered the results. Operators and suppliers are affected differently and less severely, and it is worth settling that before any work starts rather than discovering it later.
Is the approach different for each segment?
The tools overlap; the sequence and the metrics do not. An operator optimises for first-time depositors at volume, a supplier for being shortlisted by a few hundred buyers, and an affiliate for staying citable when the answer no longer needs a click.
